Gracie Barra Clarksville was founded October 1, 2011 by Professor Brian Marvin as Clarksville Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy (CBJJA). The first classes were successful, but due to his military obligations Professor Marvin had to leave the area. In June of 2012 he turned the classes over to his Fundamentals instructor and protégé Professor Deanna Yohe, now a Gracie Barra black belt. Although we have always represented the Red Shield of Gracie Barra, we officially became a part of the GB family in 2015! Since 2011 we have trained both military and civilian men, women, and children in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, many of whom have obtained gold and silver medals in tournaments to: include NAGA, the Pans, Gracie Barra Invitationals, Fuji Jiu Jitsu Championships, and many more. Since GB Clarksville serves a diverse military and civilian population, it has adopted a sense of community towards training. Our school works with and respects many different organizations in order to enhance training and to cultivate the art of BJJ. We realize that everyone will have different goals when they decide to study BJJ. That is why we help each individual student on their individual path.

Our goal is to help our clients meet their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu goals by providing expert instruction and a safe, clean, and positive training environment regardless of age, gender, or degree of athleticism.

Our skilled instructors will help you achieve your goals in a fun, safe, and professional environment. Everyone is welcome and no experience is necessary…so don’t miss out! Come in today and allow us to share the art! Jiu Jitsu for everyone!
